The position focuses on validating insurance products and end-to-end policy workflows across core and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for general insurance lines such as motor, health, property, marine, and travel.
  • Study business and regulatory inputs to design thorough test cases, scenarios, and data sets aligned with insurance operations.
  • Check the policy lifecycle across new business, underwriting, endorsements, renewals, claims, and billing on PAS platforms such as Duck Creek, Guidewire, and Sapiens.
  • Join requirement discussions, understand business flows, and ensure complete coverage for core and digital systems.
  • Lead SIT and UAT execution, record defects, support triage discussions, and drive issues to closure on time.
  • Verify IRDAI compliance requirements, underwriting controls, and audit-sensitive processes through structured test execution.
  • Test integrations involving APIs, digital channels, third-party services, and internal applications.
  • Maintain QA artifacts such as test cases, traceability matrices, execution summaries, and defect logs.
  • Support digital improvements, customer and agent journey validation, and straight-through-processing initiatives.

Requirements

  • A B.Tech or B.E. degree in Computer Science, Computer Science and Business System, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related stream.
  • 6 to 7 years of experience in QA within the general insurance domain.
  • Strong understanding of PAS processes including policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, underwriting, and servicing.
  • Experience testing claims flows covering FNOL, assessment, adjudication, and settlement.
  • Proven exposure to SIT and UAT execution, defect management, and coordination with QA and technology teams.
  • Experience validating solutions hosted on GCP.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for test data checks and analysis.
  • Understanding of APIs, request/response validation, and tools such as Postman.
  • Comfort working in Agile and Scrum environments, including sprint-based testing and requirement grooming.
  • Ability to write clear test cases, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Exposure to digital insurance journeys, portals, and STP-driven automation initiatives.
  • Strong ownership, analytical thinking, solution orientation, teamwork, and professional communication skills.
  • Notice period should be immediate to 60 days.
