Position Purpose

This role centers on validating the quality of Invenco by GVR products, such as Outdoor Payment Terminals and Forecourt Controllers, focusing on middleware and application software components. Responsibilities include developing automated test applications for hardware, embedded firmware, and associated software. These tasks entail planning, executing, and monitoring test scripts to ensure compliance with both company and industry standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement test strategies and detailed plans derived from business and project requirements.
• Develop comprehensive test scripts based on requirement analysis to verify solution conformity, including defining scenarios, expected outcomes, and documenting actual results.
• Manage hardware and software test environments, occasionally conducting off-site validation, such as with certifying bodies.
• Clarify functional issues and product requirements, escalating risks as needed.
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of standard documentation, processes, and systems.
• Establish repeatable, measurable testing workflows and efficiently manage testing schedules to meet deadlines.
• Maintain effective communication on upcoming deliverables and provide technical customer support during system integration and acceptance phases.

Product Testing and Quality Assurance

• Execute product testing activities including software upgrades, feature additions, and customer-specific customizations, with proper documentation.
• Conduct redesign testing and ensure compliance for product and end-of-life changes.
• Support and improve Outdoor Payment Terminal testing and recommendations.
• Test SDK and TAL software upgrades to ensure quality standards.
• Coordinate with Market Engineering, Product Development, and PMO teams to deliver projects on time and within quality parameters.
• Continuously improve quality assurance processes and application development methodologies.
• Document impacts of changes and maintain comprehensive audit trails.
• Support acceptance and pilot testing phases as needed.

Software Development and Documentation

• Automate extensive portions of product testing through the creation and enhancement of test automation software.
• Develop robust test software with minimal defects while ensuring alignment with project timelines.
• Update and maintain accurate product documentation and ensure alignment with customer and corporate standards.
• Promptly escalate issues and contribute technical insights to project management efforts, collaborating closely with QA leadership.
• Adopt and promote organizational processes to guarantee quality delivery of solutions.
• Maintain specialist knowledge by staying updated on industry advances and undertaking relevant training.
• Generate necessary documentation including test plans, work instructions, reports, and release notes.
• Verify software documentation such as user guides, application notes, and technical specifications.
• Track and document issue resolutions using standard systems, ensuring version control for software and documentation.

Software Testing and Release Management

• Ensure the test team is equipped to implement the developed test software effectively.
• Oversee unit, functional, and feature testing implementations, ensuring both manual and automated test plan coverage.
• Manage software build releases, act as the liaison for the test team, and provide mentorship to junior team members.
• Validate that development outcomes meet business requirements through coordinated communication and release verification.
