Role overview
A leading biopharmaceutical business in South Dublin is seeking a Senior QC Specialist focused on NPI for an initial 12-month contract. The role supports manufacturing operations and may require extended hours, shift work, and weekend work when needed.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the QC point of contact for NPI activity and regular product meetings.
- Support QC-related projects and site-level project tasks.
- Plan and carry out non-core testing linked to NPI work.
- Oversee sample management activities for NPI across the site.
- Draft, own, and approve protocols, sample plans, SOPs, and other NPI documentation.
- Coordinate and support method validation, method transfers, and readiness activities as the QC representative.
Experience and qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a science field is required. The role calls for 2–3 years of experience in biopharmaceutical QC, or in a related quality control or GMP laboratory environment within the pharmaceutical or medical device sector. A strong foundation in chemistry and analytical testing is essential. Candidates should also have practical knowledge of regulatory compliance in cGMP manufacturing and testing of pharmaceutical products, along with a solid understanding of GMP QC laboratory principles, standards, and concepts. Ongoing learning and exposure to related industry and regulatory requirements are also important.
Working conditions
This is an onsite contract role in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. The position may involve extended hours, shift work, and weekend work depending on operational needs.
