Senior Project Officer - Social and Community Housing Design

Role Overview

Become an integral part of Housing Growth and contribute significantly to shaping the future landscape of social housing design and development within Queensland. This position focuses on managing and advancing Housing Growth's design reference materials, encompassing standards, guidelines, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Housing Growth's design and property standards requirements and manage interactions with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate as part of a team to develop standardized building, material, and product specifications and schedules that enhance the existing design reference documentation.
• Interpret and apply building industry regulations, standards, terminology, and product information accurately.
• Conduct analysis and interpretation of property-related data to provide evidence-based recommendations concerning social housing assets.
• Assist the Design Team Manager by supporting design review processes and evaluating design-related documentation.
• Produce high-quality written and visual presentations, offering expert advice and engaging in negotiation and consultation on significant matters with diverse internal and external partners.
• Engage extensively with various internal business units within the department to provide guidance on design and property concerns.
• Represent Housing Growth in meetings, workshops, and other professional forums as required.
• Promote and maintain workplace safety culture by ensuring adherence to Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices within daily operations.
