Job description
Role Overview
This role is part of the Terrestrial Permits Team within the Permissions Management & Ecotourism branch. The position helps shape and deliver policy and procedural documents connected to sustainable visitor use and other activities taking place across Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) managed areas, including sites that are jointly managed across the State.
In addition, the role supports the team's work in meeting obligations under Commonwealth and State native title and cultural heritage legislation. It also contributes to administrative compliance for permissions managed by the Permissions Management team.
Key Requirements
- Demonstrate the individual contributor leadership behaviours described in Queensland's Leadership competencies.

- Bring solid knowledge of tourism and recreation, particularly where it affects projects, policy and regional operations within QPWS managed estates.

- Take ownership of work delivery, including projects, and show drive in achieving departmental outcomes.
