Senior Production and Operations Specialist

About the Role

Gritter Francona seeks a Senior Production and Operations Specialist to offer high-level operational leadership supporting healthcare IT projects aligned with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA). This role focuses on ensuring stable, efficient production environments, training activities, and value stream processes that uphold Electronic Health Record (EHR) and clinical information system performance to deliver timely and quality care to Veterans.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and production activities supporting enterprise healthcare IT services.
• Manage training execution, production support, and value stream efforts to deliver services effectively and on schedule.
• Coordinate cross-departmental tasks to meet operational goals, maintain system performance, and satisfy customer needs.
• Observe operational metrics and drive continuous improvements to boost efficiency and service quality.
• Develop operational strategies including plans, timelines, and resource allocation aligning with organizational priorities.
• Predict customer demand and resource needs to ensure readiness and efficient service delivery.
• Collaborate with leadership, clinical, technical, and business stakeholders to coordinate activities and troubleshoot production challenges.
• Analyze key performance indicators to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for process refinement.
• Oversee operational responses during surge events, system deployments, and production challenges.
• Assure compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, SLAs, and federal healthcare regulations.
• Drive operational enhancements improving workflows, customer satisfaction, and overall performance.
• Identify operational hazards and apply mitigation tactics to avoid business or clinical interruptions.
• Generate reports and status updates detailing operational performance and recommendations for leadership.
• Support governance by maintaining operational procedures, documentation, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management, or Public Health.
• At least 8 years of increasing responsibility in production operations, operations management, healthcare administration, or healthcare IT environments.
• Experience managing cross-functional operational coordination within complex organizations.
• Expertise in production operations management, workflow optimization, operational planning, and process improvement.
• Deep understanding of healthcare operations, customer service management, and operational governance.
• Competence in workload forecasting, resource coordination, and ensuring operational preparedness.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven collaborative abilities with executives, program managers, technical teams, and business clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal healthcare agencies like the VA, VHA, or Department of Defense.
• Familiarity with EHR implementation, sustainment, modernization, or optimization.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows and health IT operational processes.
• Proficiency with operational improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or ITIL.
• Certifications in project or operations management preferred.
