Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Senior Product QA Tester in Ireland, working for a partner company that handles all applications and subsequent hiring steps. The role supports a fast-changing digital product used by millions across Europe. You will take full ownership of quality assurance across the release cycle, from feature development through launch, within an iterative environment that uses AI heavily in day-to-day work.

In this position, your focus goes beyond defect detection. You will assess how the product behaves, question user experience choices, and surface commercial or technical risks that could affect the end result. The role calls for someone who is self-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to influence product quality at multiple stages of development.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead the QA process end to end for each release and confirm that new features are fully checked before going live.
  • Exercise complete user flows in the web app to uncover functional defects, unusual edge cases, workflow gaps, UX issues, and data or technical risks.
  • Share feedback in a clear, organized, and prioritized way so developers can act on issues quickly and improve the product effectively.
  • Work closely with engineering leaders during short development cycles and help refine features even when requirements are still evolving.
  • Review product choices through both customer and business lenses, and raise concerns when a workflow or design can be improved.
  • Help shape better QA practices by using AI-assisted testing tools and encouraging efficient, risk-based testing methods.

Requirements

  • Extensive background in a senior QA or product quality position, with strong independence and responsibility across release cycles.
  • Regular practical use of AI-based development and QA tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools for code review, debugging, test creation, and root-cause investigation.
  • Advanced familiarity with browser automation and browser debugging tools such as Playwright, Puppeteer MCP, Chrome DevTools MCP, or comparable technologies.
  • Ability to navigate and understand large React and Next.js codebases on your own, identify coverage gaps, and suggest test improvements.
  • Strong product thinking, with the ability to evaluate user impact, business consequences, and technical risk rather than limiting yourself to bug reporting.
  • Comfort working in a high-speed environment where documentation may be incomplete, priorities can change, and iteration is constant.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with online marketplaces, complex workflows, or consumer-facing products is a plus.

Benefits

  • Flexible freelance arrangement with fully remote work available across Europe.
  • Chance to contribute to a high-growth digital platform with a large user base.
  • Direct exposure to technical leadership and meaningful influence over product quality.
  • Modern AI-enabled development and testing setup.
  • High ownership, autonomy, and impact on product direction.
  • Fast-moving, dynamic culture centered on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Opportunity to support the international expansion of a rapidly scaling technology business.
