Senior Product Owner - Loan Origination System (LOS)

Role Overview

This role involves full ownership and management of change processes for the Loan Origination System (LOS) and Loan Management System (LMS) applications tailored for retail lending. The position requires close collaboration with business teams to define technical requirements, drive technology development using agile methodologies, and ensure smooth vendor integrations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end application lifecycle for LOS and LMS, including change management.
• Maintain and publish digital APIs and web services facilitating internal and external system integrations.
• Report on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to leadership for retail LOS and LMS initiatives.
• Collaborate with business teams to specify technical requirements for LOS/LMS integrations.
• Lead agile-driven development with vendors, incorporating inputs from users, developers, and stakeholders.
• Support partners in development and UAT queries, ensuring timely go-live and issue resolution across LMS and interface systems.
• Oversee agile application implementation projects adhering to schedules and technical specifications.
• Understand product lines of business including secured and unsecured loans and key products like CFG, CMG, Infrastructure, Large Corporate, SCF, LCMM, and corporate loans.

Business Analysis & Strategy

• Analyze and recommend product, service, and technology modifications to address market trends and conditions.
• Possess deep insight into industry dynamics, customer and technology trends, and competitive positioning to guide business-driven technology objectives.
• Supervise documentation of business needs aligned with technology solutions.
• Lead comprehensive business case development, clearly communicating technology use cases, financial assessments, risks, and strategic alignments.
• Identify and promote additional organizational technology opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders.

Technology & Vendor Management

• Apply cross-industry best practices for technology adoption and share knowledge within the team and wider organization.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve existing systems by piloting proofs of concept for emerging technologies.
• Participate in strategic vendor/partner selection, establish governance frameworks, monitor supplier performance, and facilitate issue resolution.
• Ensure vendor agreements deliver full organizational IT benefits and clarify scopes via statements of work.

Customer Orientation & Collaboration

• Ensure business responsiveness to evolving customer needs through ongoing segmentation and proactive product/service innovation.
• Promote a culture focused on service excellence and act as a dedicated business partner accountable for customer success.

Agile & Project Management

• Implement and oversee agile frameworks including sprint planning, JIRA task management, and process improvements to deliver high-quality, timely solutions.
• Manage multiple product portfolios, design testing policies, track project progress, mitigate risks, and communicate status regularly.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to deadlines for all projects, developing and monitoring detailed plans.

Requirements Gathering & Solution Design

• Conduct comprehensive requirement analysis from business and user perspectives, ensuring alignment and identifying gaps or conflicts.
• Introduce processes and tools for effective requirement gathering and engagement with stakeholders.
• Design technical solutions integrating functional design and architecture, estimating costs, resource usage, and feasibility.

Change, Incident & Service Management

• Implement coherent change management processes for deployed systems with monitoring and documentation of issues.
• Assist in developing policies to reduce incident occurrences and ensure timely problem resolution with proper documentation.
• Recommend and enact service level improvements, monitor performance metrics, and resolve operational disruptions.

Planning, Budgeting & Reporting

• Apply forecasting and budgeting expertise to prepare accurate resource and financial plans.
• Analyze reports to provide leadership with summaries and actionable insights.
• Produce detailed reports on development metrics, key performance indicators, and project statuses regularly.

Contract & Audit Support

• Operate within vendor management policies, contribute to contract formulation, monitor partner performance, and implement improvement actions.
• Support audit processes and ensure business continuity plans, disaster recovery, and health checks are executed as per protocols.
