Position Overview
This is an opportunity to be part of our inaugural Dublin product team as a Senior Product Manager overseeing dealer-centric marketplace initiatives in our International Product team. This role is pivotal in shaping CarGurus' evolving marketplace across global markets, delivering impactful solutions to customers in Canada, the UK, and beyond.
Responsibilities include owning critical portions of the dealer marketplace, discovering opportunities to enhance dealer metrics, and boosting overall marketplace performance. Collaborating with teams in Engineering, UX/Design, Data Science, and Analytics, you will define, develop, and launch critical features, supporting our expanding international footprint.
As part of launching CarGurus’ Dublin technology hub, you'll influence product strategy and team culture, working closely with engineering leadership and assembling a team of full-stack engineers to deliver both new initiatives and adaptations of existing products tailored for international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the roadmap and strategic planning for dealer-facing marketplace products across international platforms, ensuring synchronization with company objectives and dealer requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams throughout all phases of product development including ideation, discovery, design, development, release, and iteration for impactful product delivery.
- Partner with the Dublin Engineering Manager and engineering team to implement high-value product initiatives.
- Explore and develop new product opportunities in Canada and the UK markets.
- Utilize user research, market trends, and data analytics to identify dealer pain points and marketplace improvement areas.
- Convert insights from Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Product Analytics into executable product requirements and prioritized tasks.
- Coordinate with consumer side product leaders to maintain platform consistency and alignment.
- Manage product launches jointly with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Success, and Support teams to promote successful adoption.
- Consistently measure the impact of delivered products on dealers, consumers, and the company using data-driven analysis to refine strategies and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in product management or comparable roles within fast-moving, collaborative environments involving engineering, design, and analytics teams.
- Proven ability to take products from idea through launch and iterative enhancement with strong ownership.
- Excellent analytical capabilities to interpret data and translate it into strategic product actions.
- Competence in handling complex, ambiguous issues and generating clear priorities and product specifications.
- Demonstrated leadership to align diverse teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical partners alike.
- Strong curiosity and commitment to fast learning, adaptability, and continuous product improvement.
- Empathy for customers, understanding both dealer and consumer perspectives in a marketplace setting.
- Experience with two-sided marketplace products or B2B platforms is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated annual base salary for this role ranges between €90,000 and €108,000 EUR. This figure represents the base salary and, where applicable, on-target commissions for sales roles. Actual remuneration depends on factors including office location, skills, experience, and education.
This position is part of an extensive Total Rewards Program which may include discretionary bonuses, incentives, and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). We offer equitable compensation including equity participation at hire and throughout tenure.
Benefits include flexible hybrid working, generous time off policies, mental and physical wellbeing support, daily free lunches, discounts on new cars, commuting cost assistance, meditation and fitness apps, and extensive career development and community-building initiatives.
Work Environment and Hiring Process
This role is based onsite in Dublin. Interviews may be conducted in person, particularly for positions in Dublin and Boston offices. Candidates will be advised in advance and interview-related travel expenses are the candidate's responsibility.
Inclusion and Diversity
CarGurus aspires to be an inclusive workplace that respects and values all individuals' unique skills, perspectives, and backgrounds. We encourage applications from candidates even if they do not meet every listed criterion and provide accommodations for disabilities during recruitment processes upon request.
