Job description
About the company
MYOB is a business management platform focused on helping more companies across Australia and New Zealand get started, stay resilient, and grow. The company’s goal is to give people in business the tools they need to spend less time on administration and more time on what matters most.
Working at MYOB means contributing to that impact every day. The business emphasizes improving how work gets done, supporting customers and communities, and creating software that helps people do big things in their own way.
About the role
MYOB is seeking a product leader to take ownership of the Money In and Money Out experience for mid-market customers. The focus of the role covers invoicing, payments, receivables, and the wider financial processes that help businesses operate smoothly.
This is a strategic product leadership role, not a feature-management role. You will shape products used daily by thousands of businesses, investigate customer pain points in depth, make informed prioritization decisions, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver strong outcomes.
What you will do
- Define a product direction that inspires alignment and support across the business.
- Conduct customer research to identify the problems that matter most.
- Decide what should be built, in what order, and for what reason.
- Collaborate with engineering, build, and commercial stakeholders to release high-quality experiences.
- Use data to inform choices while applying sound judgment where data alone is incomplete.
- Keep multiple stakeholder groups coordinated and moving toward the same goals.
What the role calls for
You should be able to lead detailed product roadmaps that balance short-term value with long-term strategy. The role also requires comfort with ambiguous problems, commercial thinking, strong stakeholder influence, and a deep understanding of customer needs, especially in SaaS, fintech, or payments environments.
You’ll need to be confident in research, problem definition, experimentation, validation, agile delivery, and end-to-end product development. Clear communication is essential, particularly when presenting strategy, roadmaps, and difficult trade-offs. The role also suits someone who is curious about how AI can improve customer experience and business outcomes.
Culture and benefits
MYOB values collaboration, inclusion, and the idea that every person can contribute meaningfully. Team members are encouraged to bring their own perspectives and help shape the workplace culture.
- Flexible hybrid working with centrally located offices used for in-person collaboration, celebrations, and social events.
- Support to set up your home office, plus access to corporate discounts and retailer vouchers.
- Wellbeing support through the company’s partnership with Sonder.
- Learning and development support through internal training, programs, LinkedIn Learning, conferences, and study assistance.
- A range of leave options, including up to four additional weeks of purchased leave, parental leave, domestic violence leave, transgender leave, community leave, study leave, and more.
- Participation in communities focused on Wellness, Belonging, and the Planet.
Additional information
MYOB is committed to equal opportunity and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement, as the company values diverse experiences and perspectives.
The company is a Circle Back Initiative employer and aims to respond to every applicant.
MYOB may use AI-based tools during parts of the hiring process, including application review, resume analysis, and assessment of responses for potential inconsistencies or verification signals. These tools support the recruitment team but do not replace human judgment, and final hiring decisions are made by people.
