Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager specializing in Disputes to own and develop the global strategy for both issuing and acquiring disputes and chargebacks capabilities. This pivotal role will influence our global disputes roadmap, ensuring it aligns with our expansion into new and existing markets. The successful candidate will lead and collaborate with diverse teams across product, engineering, and business functions to deliver comprehensive dispute processing solutions and tools that empower our merchants.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate a clear product vision, establishing a global roadmap for the disputes portfolio.
- Lead the creation of advanced dispute APIs and dashboard functionalities, giving merchants detailed oversight and control of their chargeback processes and enabling performance optimization.
- Act as the disputes subject-matter expert, interpreting regulatory and network changes into practical, compliant product updates that safeguard our clients.
- Monitor and enhance performance metrics such as win rates and representment effectiveness, leveraging data to increase success rates across markets and industries.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Treasury, and Dispute Operations to automate internal processes, minimize manual interventions, and drive operational efficiency at scale.
- Forge strategic relationships with major card networks and data providers to integrate best-in-class tools into the Checkout.com platform.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of product management experience focused on disputes, payment processing, or within the fintech domain.
- Demonstrated hands-on, end-to-end ownership of product processes, with proven cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Technical proficiency, including the ability to interpret API documentation, discuss system architecture, and understand data exchanges between key industry stakeholders.
- Strong analytical acumen with the ability to utilize data when prioritizing product features and decisions.
- Skilled in managing and influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Exceptional communicator capable of uniting others around a shared vision and translating complex topics for diverse audiences.
