Job description
Role Overview
As a Senior Manager in Product Strategy, focusing on Capital Formation, you will contribute to shaping, developing, and launching innovative capital investment products that support the British Business Bank’s mission of enabling small businesses in the UK to access finance more effectively. This is a 12-month fixed term contract based in London, with an expectation to work from the office at least two days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle development of new capital products, from ideation to go-to-market execution.
- Utilise market research, investor relations, and structured product development to build market-ready and compliant solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in investments, legal, policy, operations, risk management, and finance to ensure alignment and feasibility of new offerings.
- Translate complex market insights and stakeholder needs into actionable product strategies and proposals.
- Engage and communicate effectively with senior management, partners, and external stakeholders to gain buy-in and coordinate launch efforts.
- Drive innovation in product delivery while ensuring strong governance and scalability.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in venture capital, private markets, institutional investment, or similar arenas involving complex financial product development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships across challenging environments.
- Strategic, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and judgement skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, adept at distilling insight into clear action plans.
Work Conditions
- Fixed term contract: 12 months
- Full-time (37.5 hours/week), with flexible working arrangements available Monday to Friday
- Based in London (hybrid work: expected in office two days per week)
Compensation
- Annual salary up to £74,000 depending on experience and location
