About Nox Mobility

Nox is committed to revolutionizing short-haul travel by providing premium overnight trains across Europe, blending modern design and enriching onboard experiences so passengers can travel in comfort and save time by sleeping during transit. The company values diverse teams, innovative thinking, and a collective dedication to creating impactful solutions.

Core Values

  • Maintain authenticity: Every employee, from intern to CEO, participates in at least two cabin crew shifts annually.
  • Take ownership: Immediately contribute and shape Nox’s journey with your unique input.
  • Embrace challenge: Question traditional methods and propose ideas that delight customers.

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Designer, your mission is to craft seamless, engaging end-to-end customer journeys that span both digital and physical platforms. You will lead the design efforts ensuring consistency and quality while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire customer journey from inspiration to post-trip, continuously enhancing touchpoints involving passengers, staff, and operational backend.
  • Create and implement cohesive experiences that unite physical and digital product offerings grounded in user research and a compelling product vision.
  • Simplify complex night train operations including scheduling, logistics, and integrations into intuitive user interactions.
  • Ensure holistic consistency across all customer interactions by proactively identifying and addressing gaps before they escalate into costly issues.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

  • Minimum five years of experience in product, service, or user experience design, preferably in hospitality, mobility, or consumer services sectors.
  • A keen aesthetic sense combined with strong empathy towards diverse customer perspectives beyond personal viewpoints.
  • Expertise in journey and systems thinking comfortable with both service blueprints and interaction flow critiques.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of uniting product, engineering, and operations teams around a common design vision and candidly addressing discrepancies.
  • Adept in cross-functional environments, engaging closely with crews and unpacking complex backend workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Opportunity to work within a small, dynamic team with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • A workplace culture emphasizing flat hierarchies, no corporate politics, and abundant growth possibilities.
  • Participation in shaping one of Europe’s most impactful mobility and hospitality products.
  • Competitive startup salary coupled with stock options for employees.
  • A continually evolving environment suited for those who enjoy tackling the unknown and adapting swiftly.
  • Future perks including complimentary Nox rides, Nextbike seasonal access, significant travel discounts, and a choice among Deutschlandticket, Urban Sports Club membership, or sports reimbursement programs.

Additional Information

Applicants should be fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous. We encourage individuals who may not fulfill every qualification but have the enthusiasm and potential to contribute. Please include salary expectations, earliest start date, and a brief motivation statement addressing why Nox is essential and why you are the ideal candidate upon application.
