Role Description

The Sr. Specialist will be accountable for creating and validating purchase orders for pharmaceutical raw materials using Julphar's approved vendor list, along with procurement of commercial finished products. Key responsibilities include ensuring purchased products meet specifications, negotiating purchase terms, assessing supplier performance, and facilitating timely deliveries while resolving supply issues or discrepancies until vendor payments are finalized. The role involves overseeing the entire procure-to-pay process, managing daily purchase requests and deliveries, and generating procurement performance reports while implementing continuous improvement measures.

Qualifications and Functional Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in supply chain roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Certifications related to procurement or supply chain management would be advantageous.
• Proficient with MS Office, SAP, and similar applications.
• Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in data analysis methods.
• Competent negotiation skills and excellent communication to explain complex ideas across various audiences.
• Collaborative working style, capable of partnering across multiple functions.
• Familiarity with procurement software tools including SAP Ariba is a plus.
