About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior PRO specializing in Government Relations to oversee all interactions with UAE government entities and ensure full adherence to labor, immigration, and regulatory guidelines. This role acts as the main interface for government authorities, managing corporate and employee documentation efficiently, while supporting the organization's compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate government relations activities serving as the primary contact for UAE government bodies such as MOHRE, ICP, GDRFA, municipalities, free zones, customs, and other regulatory authorities.
  • Manage end-to-end employee immigration procedures including visas, work permits, Emirates ID processing, renewals, transfers, cancellation, dependent visas, and medical fitness protocols.
  • Ensure strict compliance with UAE labor laws, immigration rules, and statutory requirements.
  • Handle the processing and monitoring of labor contracts and employment documentation.
  • Coordinate the renewal process for company trade licenses, establishment cards, commercial registrations, permits, and other essential corporate paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Engage with external agencies and government offices to secure approvals, clearances, and mandatory certifications.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of employee immigration files and corporate licenses, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Stay updated on changes in UAE government regulations and advise HR and business teams accordingly.
  • Oversee government-related documentation for employee onboarding and offboarding procedures.
  • Foster strong professional relationships with governmental authorities and external partners.
  • Prepare regular reports and maintain tracking systems for visas, licenses, permits, and compliance deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize government relations workflows and boost operational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Between 5 and 8 years of progressive experience in UAE PRO or Government Relations roles, ideally within large corporates, logistics, maritime, or industrial sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UAE labor laws, immigration processes, and government mandates.
  • Proficient in using UAE governmental digital platforms.
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic considered an advantage.
  • Possession of a valid UAE driving license preferred.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and perform under pressure effectively.
