About the Role
Auxilia Group Recruitment is hiring a Passenger Bookings Coordinator on behalf of a client in the ferry and shipping sector. This role offers the chance to be part of a growing company specializing in passenger ferry services. The Coordinator will manage group reservations and bookings made through indirect sales channels such as Online Travel Agencies, tour operators, and other third-party partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day management of group and third-party bookings through indirect sales avenues.
- Serve as the main liaison for group organizers, ensuring efficient handling of booking enquiries, changes, payments, and passenger details.
- Update and maintain accurate passenger lists and booking records.
- Process amendments, cancellations, and payments within established timelines.
- Provide timely responses to booking inquiries and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Coordinate payment schedules and manage any special travel needs.
- Develop expertise in the company booking system (Carus) and keep precise records both digitally and manually if needed.
- Collaborate with the Customer Experience, Commercial, and Contact Centre teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
- Support reporting on booking and operational metrics.
- Help manage service disruption communications with group and third-party partners.
- Offer assistance to the broader customer experience and bookings team during peak times.
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous roles in bookings, reservations, or operations within the travel, tourism, transport, or hospitality industries.
- Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all booking information.
- Familiarity with booking or reservation systems and an aptitude for learning new platforms quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A calm, customer-oriented approach when handling issues and amendments.
- Fluency in English is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Carus or comparable travel reservation systems.
- Knowledge of working alongside OTAs, tour operators, or travel trade partners.
- Prior experience coordinating group travel bookings.
- Additional European language proficiency, especially in French or German, is advantageous.
