About the Role
The Senior Planning Officer will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels across all sales depots, ensuring alignment with inventory policies for all active Stock Keeping Units (SKUs). This involves closely monitoring stock quantities, analyzing sales patterns, identifying slow-moving or aging stock, recommending appropriate replenishment quantities, submitting these recommendations to the Central Planning Process (CPP) for approval, processing approved replenishment stock into SAP, tracking confirmed orders from CPP with sales depots, and producing service level reports.
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor stock levels to detect fluctuations and identify needs for replenishment or adjustments.
- Analyze sales trends to develop effective stock replenishment strategies.
- Proactively identify aging inventory to minimize stock expiry and associated losses.
- Compile and submit consolidated stock replenishment plans to the CPP for review and approval.
- Generate a weekly report detailing delays in reefer truck turnaround times.
Requirements
- Possession of a bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in logistics or supply planning is required.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a large volume of SKUs.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
- Competence in using SAP and other ERP systems is necessary.
- Key competencies include a strong understanding of business operations and sales trends, excellent analytical skills, the ability to interpret data effectively, and strong teamwork capabilities.
