Opportunity Overview
We are recruiting a Senior Consultant with expertise in Planning, Claims, and Dispute Resolution to contribute to major residential, commercial, hospitality, infrastructure, and mixed-use projects throughout the UAE. This role provides a chance to solidify your reputation by delivering high-level contract management and planning support on complex projects. Experience with Middle East projects is essential due to the specific regional client and project environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of project schedules aligned with client goals and milestones.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders through clear and professional communication that enhances collaboration and project results.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster a collaborative, high-achieving team.
- Analyze diverse data sources, customizing reports to inform leadership and stakeholder decisions.
- Manage comprehensive preparation of client deliverables such as detailed analyses, technical reports, and presentations ready to address client inquiries.
- Develop, maintain, and assess complex schedules using planning software like Primavera P6 with reports adapted to stakeholder requirements.
- Apply industry-standard planning and scheduling techniques to identify risks, constraints, and opportunities impacting project delivery.
- Implement project control best practices to resolve planning challenges and improve outcomes.
- Lead knowledge sharing through technical workshops and support client training initiatives when necessary.
- Drive ongoing process improvements and innovation within planning and scheduling functions to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of deliverables incorporating feedback and applying thorough quality checks.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in Planning, Scheduling, Project Controls, and Claims Management.
- Academic background in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience across full project lifecycles: including tender planning, baseline development, progress tracking, delay analysis, extensions of time claims, construction reporting, completion, and claims resolution.
- Direct contractor experience executing at least one full construction project lifecycle.
- Proficient in applying various delay analysis techniques.
- Ability to advise clients on complex constructability, sequencing, and delay analysis options.
- Highly skilled in planning tools including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English, able to explain complex programs and analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong autonomous work ethic with leadership abilities to support and guide junior colleagues.
- Good understanding of project management and project controls methodologies.
- Consultancy experience is highly valued.
