Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Planner to join our civil department based in Kill, County Kildare. This position involves creating detailed project schedules for tender submissions and supporting programming activities for major infrastructure projects throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
- Utilize MS Project, Primavera P6, or Asta Powerproject to plan and supervise project timelines.
- Devise program strategies for tender proposals and construction projects.
- Develop and sustain comprehensive project schedules from foundational principles, including resource and cost allocation, using tools like MS Project, Primavera P6, and 4D scheduling software.
- Interpret and integrate information from tender documents effectively.
- Coordinate schedule-related matters with estimators and project teams.
- Calculate and prepare mass haul assessments and graphical representations.
- Prepare detailed narratives, phases, progress reports, and documentation to support tender and project submissions.
- Manage short-term planning alongside project teams.
- Take ownership of project programs to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate program information, risks, and commercial factors clearly to operational teams through multiple formats.
- Organize and lead collaborative planning workshops involving clients, operational teams, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and update project progress, compiling reports that fulfill contractual and project requirements.
- Incorporate and analyze program changes and aid commercial teams.
- Assess subcontractor and supply chain schedules.
- Conduct peer reviews of project programs.
- Follow established business protocols and systems.
- Stay informed about current construction methods and trends.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a third-level degree in civil engineering or construction management.
- Around 10 years of professional experience in roadworks, earthworks, drainage, structural, and marine construction.
- Proven background as a Civil Planner with strong understanding of construction techniques and sound commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Confidence in engaging with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, own, and drive project programs, including managing subcontractor schedules.
- Strong logical thinking and systematic approach in planning activities.
- Familiarity with planning methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skilled in planning software, particularly Primavera P6, and familiarity with 4D planning tools; training will be provided.
- Able to work effectively within demanding timelines.
- Experience contributing to successful tender bid strategies.
