Role Overview
This 24-month fixed-term position, based at the Mascot Head Office in Sydney, offers a chance to be a strategic HR partner within the Qantas Loyalty & Customer segment. The Senior People Manager will act as a key advisor to senior leadership, crafting workforce strategies and fostering organizational culture within a highly dynamic and commercially driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with executive management to influence people decisions and business performance across a major customer-focused division.
- Develop and implement workforce and people strategies aligned with business priorities.
- Lead organizational design, transformation, and change management initiatives.
- Guide talent management, succession planning, and leadership development to strengthen leadership capabilities.
- Utilize data analytics and insights to identify challenges and develop practicable human capital solutions.
- Promote a high-performance culture, enhancing employee engagement and inclusion.
- Work across the People Group to create scalable, commercially sound HR solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience partnering with senior leaders in large, complex organizations.
- Proven track record in formulating and executing strategic human resource plans.
- Skilled in organizational design, workforce planning, and leading change initiatives.
- Strong capabilities in stakeholder engagement and influencing at senior levels.
- Solid business understanding combined with the ability to use workforce data to support decisions.
- Experience in coaching and enhancing leadership effectiveness.
- A growth-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for contemporary HR practices.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or allied fields.
