Job description

Role Overview

This opportunity is being shared for a partner employer, which will handle applications and the hiring process from this point onward. The employer is seeking a Senior People Generalist in Ireland.

This is a hands-on people role for someone who enjoys working where HR operations, data, and employee experience meet. You will help shape how a remote-first, globally distributed organization supports its workforce across the full employee journey. The position combines advisory support for managers and employees with ownership of People Operations and systems. You will help design the processes, tools, and reporting that allow the People function to operate efficiently at scale. Strong judgment, analytical thinking, and a genuine interest in improving team effectiveness are important in this role. You will also contribute to performance management cycles, engagement programs, and people analytics. This is a high-impact position with influence over both everyday experiences and longer-term organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with managers on employee relations matters, coaching, team dynamics, and performance conversations.
  • Support the Head of People with complex issues while independently resolving standard employee relations cases.
  • Oversee the full People Operations lifecycle, including onboarding, exit processes, HR systems, compliance, and benefits administration.
  • Streamline workflows by introducing automation, AI-enabled tools, and scalable operating processes across People programs.
  • Handle internal communication related to policies, initiatives, and organizational updates.
  • Run the operational side of performance cycles, including setup, timing, tracking, and completion.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports that turn People data into useful insights.
  • Lead employee engagement work such as surveys, analysis, and improvement recommendations.
  • Assist with recruitment operations when required, including coordination and candidate experience support.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HRBP, or blended People Operations role.
  • Strong understanding of employee relations and foundational employment law principles.
  • Practical experience managing HR systems and end-to-end People Operations workflows.
  • Solid analytical and reporting ability, including advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce clear documentation.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in HR or related people processes.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple regions and employment arrangements.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to balance empathy and decisiveness.
  • Comfort with rapid iteration and process improvement through feedback and experimentation.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Preferred experience in gaming, social platforms, the creator economy, or VR/AR settings.
  • Additional exposure to community-led or highly collaborative digital products is a plus.
  • Experience supporting belonging and engagement initiatives in diverse organizations is an advantage.

Benefits

  • Remote-first work setup with global flexibility.
  • Health coverage.
  • Retirement support depending on location, such as a 401K or RRSP.
  • Equity participation through stock options.
  • Generous paid holidays.
  • Flexible vacation policy, which may be unlimited in some cases.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Opportunity to join a fast-growing, globally distributed team.

Application and Data Processing Notes

Applications are reviewed through an AI-supported matching process intended to assess candidates against the core role requirements quickly and consistently. The strongest matches are shortlisted and shared with the hiring employer, while the employer’s internal team manages interviews, assessments, and final hiring decisions.

Submitting an application means your personal data may be processed to evaluate candidacy and share relevant information with the employer, based on legitimate interest and pre-contractual steps under applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. You may request access, correction, deletion, or objection rights at any time.

AI tools may also be used to support parts of the recruitment workflow, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or checking responses for inconsistencies or verification signals. These tools assist the recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final decisions are made by people.
