Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning to develop diverse and robust teams.
- Coordinate seamless onboarding for new hires and ensure respectful, considerate offboarding processes.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date employee records within HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow).
- Serve as primary contact for employee inquiries, guidance on policies, and identify patterns to plan proactive trainings.
- Collaborate with managers on performance reviews and talent development plans.
- Provide advice to leadership and employees regarding ESA legislation, company policies, and employment standards to reduce risks.
- Build and sustain positive partnerships with People & Culture vendors while resolving system issues independently.
- Handle sensitive employee relations matters, including grievances and terminations, with discretion and professionalism.
- Manage occupational health and safety cases, coordinate return-to-work initiatives, and ensure compliance documentation is maintained.
- Conduct orientation sessions for production staff and continuously improve onboarding materials and processes.
- Plan and execute projects aimed at enhancing employee engagement and the overall team experience.
- Support company-wide events and team-building activities in partnership with colleagues.
- Drive ongoing improvements by leveraging technology to optimize workflows and increase People & Culture's value add.
Qualifications
- A seasoned People & Culture professional with at least 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources including a minimum of 3 years in a Generalist capacity across various provinces and business units.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated expertise in multiple HR domains such as recruitment, compliance, employee relations, health and safety, performance management, and learning development.
- Deep understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices for managing complex employee relations and investigations.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to balance and prioritize competing demands.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a natural relationship builder who collaborates effectively across all organizational levels.
- Adaptive problem solver who proactively identifies areas for improvement and contributes innovative solutions.
- Team player committed to supporting people and enabling organizational success.

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000 annually, dependent on experience and skills.
