Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is being handled for a partner organization, which oversees the application review and the rest of the hiring process. The employer is seeking a Senior People Business Partner in Ireland for a fully remote position.
In this role, you will help shape how the company grows by influencing organizational performance, employee experience, and talent development across global teams. You will work closely with senior leadership to translate business priorities into people strategies, support leaders through coaching and advisory work, and help design scalable approaches to workforce planning and organizational development. The position blends strategic thinking with practical execution and is well suited to an experienced HR professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders in a fast-moving, remote-first setting.
You will also contribute to cross-functional initiatives, use data to inform decisions, and support innovation across the wider People function.
Core accountabilities
- Work with senior leaders to ensure people plans support business goals, growth, and performance.
- Advise on organizational structure, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, and broader talent initiatives.
- Drive key talent programs such as performance management, succession planning, career development, internal moves, and high-potential development.
- Handle complex employee relations issues with sound judgment, professionalism, and business awareness.
- Serve as a dependable advisor on sensitive people matters, involving legal or other stakeholders when necessary.
- Review workforce data, spot trends, and turn findings into recommendations that improve engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
- Help introduce new technologies and AI-based tools that strengthen people processes and decision-making.
- Support the creation, rollout, and ongoing improvement of people programs, policies, and frameworks.
- Lead strategic cross-functional projects that improve employee experience and support company priorities.
- Coach and mentor colleagues in the People team to raise capability and share best practices.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings significant experience in a People Business Partner, HR Business Partner, or comparable strategic HR role within a global organization. You should be comfortable handling multi-jurisdiction employee relations topics and have a strong record of building and executing talent strategies tied to performance, succession, leadership development, and career growth.
This role also calls for strong commercial thinking, the ability to connect people work to business outcomes, and excellent influence and stakeholder management skills at senior levels. A data-driven approach is important, along with strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building abilities. The person in this role must also be trusted with confidential information and demonstrate discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Experience in remote or distributed teams is an advantage, and curiosity about technology and AI tools is valued.
