Role Overview
This role is focused on scheduling and controlling batch jobs across multiple technology environments. The position sits within infrastructure and platform services and requires strong hands-on experience with Control-M workload automation, operational support, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure job flows in Control-M across different platforms, including Mainframe, AS/400, Unix, and Windows.
- Monitor the daily job schedule and coordinate with vendors to address incidents and issues involving Control-M.
- Work with internal teams on batch job setup needs and support approved ad hoc requests from business units.
- Support investigation and resolution of Control-M-related problems when issues are escalated.
- Help maintain a stable and high-quality operating environment for clients.
- Prepare support documentation that helps shorten the time needed to resolve issues.
- Be available for production support during early mornings, late evenings, nights, and weekends when required.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Between 1 and 2 years of practical experience with Control-M workload automation or job scheduling, preferably version 9.x.
- Hands-on exposure to Control-M utilities across AS/400, Mainframe, Unix, and Windows environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Background in operations support and monitoring.
- Ability to work independently and remain effective under pressure.
- Willingness to work on weekends when business needs require it.
