About the Brand
We are collaborating with one of Australia's rapidly expanding haircare companies, positioned as a challenger brand gaining significant retail traction. The brand is already stocked in major grocery and pharmacy outlets, supported by a strong pipeline of innovative products. The business is on the cusp of an exciting expansion phase and seeks a key individual to take ownership of this growth journey.
Role Overview
This senior commercial position reports directly to the Head of Sales and maintains a close working relationship with the Founder and CEO. The role entails complete responsibility for managing the brand's principal retail partnerships across Australian markets, driving commercial outcomes, and overseeing new product launch executions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture significant retail partnerships within major Australian grocery and pharmacy channels.
- Create and implement Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that align with both retailer and brand goals.
- Oversee customer profit and loss statements, achieving targets related to revenue, profit, and distribution.
- Lead negotiation of trading terms, conduct business reviews, and coordinate promotional strategies.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and retailer insights to identify opportunities for expansion.
- Take charge of sell-in processes for new product launches, from initial business cases through to in-store implementation.
- Collaborate with retailers on category development, product ranging requests, and merchandising plans.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and manage inventory planning alongside the supply chain team.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure commercial objectives are met.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses strong commercial and analytical skills, driven by a passion to build and grow.
- Experienced in handling major retail accounts with a thorough understanding of customer P&Ls and fostering long-term commercial relationships.
- Between 3 and 7 years of experience in FMCG sales and national account management.
- Demonstrated experience managing key Australian grocery or pharmacy retail partners with practical P&L responsibilities.
- Proficient in data analysis and sales forecasting.
- Successful track record in launching new products into large retail chains.
- Background in beauty, personal care, or health and wellness sectors is favored but not mandatory.
- Experience in agile, high-growth, or challenger brand environments is highly valued.
