With headquarters in Montreal and additional studios in Toronto, Rotterdam, and the UK, the company works across two main areas: Services and Original Games. Its Services division partners with major entertainment and gaming brands such as Disney, Sony, Activision, and Nintendo, while its Original Games group develops its own titles, including Dead by Daylight.
The company promotes an inclusive workplace and welcomes people from all backgrounds and protected characteristics, in line with applicable law.
The Senior User Research Specialist is focused on making sure games are built around player needs. This position uses qualitative and mixed-method research to understand player behavior, motivations, and overall experience, helping shape design choices, product direction, and engagement strategy.
You will plan and run research sessions, bring together findings, and work closely with different teams to turn player feedback into practical decisions that improve the game experience.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and carry out user testing sessions, review the outcomes, and share clear results with stakeholders.
- Work alongside game design, product management, and research colleagues to bring player insights into game and product development.
- Create, update, and manage research materials such as observation frameworks, interview scripts, and questionnaires.
- Use multiple research approaches, including usability tests, surveys, and longitudinal studies, across both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Support team learning by documenting research and leading workshops or knowledge-sharing sessions.
Required profile
- At least 6 years of experience in user research; experience in the games sector is considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of research methods, mixed-method research, survey creation, and data analysis, along with UX fundamentals.
- Master’s degree in social science, psychology, UX design, marketing, or a closely related field.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Prior knowledge of the video game industry is required.
