Role Mission and Responsibilities
- Develop and define a comprehensive European media strategy in close partnership with the Director and Head of Performance Marketing.
- Collaborate on crafting an integrated European media approach aligned with the Global Brand Communications Strategy emphasizing a full-funnel and ROI-centered methodology.
- Create online and offline marketing roadmaps targeting relevant media activations to boost brand awareness and meet business objectives across individual European countries.
- Assist the European Marketing Media Director with future media budget planning and allocation guidelines for the region.
- Stay informed about innovative digital platforms, trends, and content technologies to maximize visibility of PUMA’s content, athletes, and campaigns.
- Coordinate the European media strategy among all involved stakeholders.
- Co-manage briefing and annual evaluation of the European media agency in conjunction with the Global team.
- Provide guidance to European Area teams on local integrated media and digital plans alongside the Global team.
- Support planning and implementation of media activities for strategic European accounts, especially Intersport and Foot Locker.
- Serve as the primary contact for PUMA European countries, vendor agencies, internal functional units, and wholesale partners regarding media and digital inquiries.
- Negotiate competitive agreements with media vendors and agencies.
- Handle ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Manage and monitor European marketing media budgets.
- Analyze media campaign research and post-campaign results, converting insights into strategic actions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in media strategy, planning, digital marketing, or marketing communications; international or media agency experience preferred.
- Robust understanding of full-funnel marketing, integrated media planning, and ROI-driven campaign oversight.
- Demonstrated expertise across digital and traditional media including paid social, search, programmatic, video, and offline channels.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret media data and market insights and convert them into actionable strategy.
- Experience managing media budgets, agencies, and partnerships.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with proven effectiveness across global, regional, and local teams.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
