Job description
About the Role and Team
Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform for EMEA. Since launching in the region in 2019, it has offered long-form and short-form titles from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. The service has become a major business priority and a strong growth driver. In February 2021, it broadened its offering in EMEA to include general entertainment for adults, and in 2024 it expanded again to add sports content. It has been widely recognised across markets for its strong user experience and easy-to-use interface across television, mobile devices, and PCs.
The Disney+ team oversees strategy, day-to-day commercial results, and operations for Disney+ across Europe, as well as future launches in the Middle East and Africa. This role is based in London and focuses on leading sports marketing to build awareness, generate excitement for the sports proposition, and support continued customer growth and engagement.
The Senior Marketing Manager, Sports will own the development and delivery of the EMEA sports marketing strategy, with responsibility for strengthening awareness, engagement, and demand for Disney+ sports.
This position sits within the Content Marketing team and works closely with ESPN, Networks, and external rights holders, along with internal Disney+ functions such as merchandising, commercial, performance, finance, PR, social, product, and analytics.
The successful candidate will create and deliver high-quality sports marketing campaigns that help position Disney+ as the preferred destination for entertainment and live sport.
The role is based in the London Hammersmith office four days per week, with the option to work from home on either Monday or Friday.

- Act as the regional lead for Disney+ sports marketing and the main point of contact between Disney+ Global Marketing, Business Development, and ESPN teams.
- Guide the creation of high-quality sports creative for all EMEA markets, keeping the visual style, tone, and messaging consistent while adapting where local market needs require it.
- Work with internal creative teams and outside agencies to produce culturally relevant campaigns that resonate with varied sports audiences.
- Serve as a specialist across all marketing channels, especially social media, influencer activity, and digital marketing.
- Work with analytics and insights teams to better understand audience behaviour, viewing motivations, and the most effective ways to reach and retain sports viewers.
- Build integrated campaigns with Disney+ business teams to support both brand awareness and commercial goals.
- Coordinate with merchandising teams to create a joined-up approach to sports on the platform.
- Work with the in-house social team to develop fresh social and influencer strategies that strengthen community engagement among sports fans.
- Collaborate with the PR team to create a steady flow of news and events that keeps Disney+ Sports visible in earned media.
- Partner with product, performance, commercial, and finance teams to support campaign success.
- Work with Networks, ESPN, and third-party rights holders to align and amplify joint marketing activity.
- Provide marketing guidance during rights negotiations so fan insights and promotional potential help shape acquisition decisions.
- Own campaign planning, budgeting, and delivery across EMEA markets from start to finish.
- Measure campaign results, apply learnings, and use insights to improve future activity and drive ongoing performance gains.
- Encourage innovation by testing new formats, technologies, and creative ideas that can elevate Disney+ sports marketing.
