Job description
Role overview
IMDA is looking for an experienced Senior Manager or Manager to join the Planning, Strategy and Data team. The role focuses on shaping manpower policy so it remains relevant to developments in technology and media.
Key responsibilities
- Help develop and refine manpower policies in response to changes in the tech and media landscape.
- Drive research, interpretation, and forecasting of trends in technology and media, and pinpoint emerging jobs and in-demand skills to support policy decisions.
- Create strategic data-led insights that strengthen evidence-based policymaking.
- Draft briefing papers and prepare presentations to convey IMDA’s views on tech manpower policy topics to senior leadership, senior government officials, and Public Office Holders.
- Put manpower policies into action efficiently and within required timelines.
- Work closely with colleagues across IMDA and with other government agencies to ensure policy alignment with national priorities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in policy or manpower-related work within the Singapore Government.
- Strong ability to analyse data, interpret complexity, and identify the main issues.
- Excellent writing and speaking skills, with the confidence to explain complex ideas clearly and convincingly to senior stakeholders.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across teams and functions.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
- Knowledge of government structures and policy development processes will be an added advantage.
