Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Manager for Strategic Airport Planning to join our Berlin office promptly. The successful candidate will lead and actively participate in national and international airport master planning projects emphasizing user needs, stakeholder collaboration, operational excellence, and innovative solutions that deliver measurable client benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to master planning and airside design projects.
- Perform demand and capacity analyses of airside infrastructure and establish related requirements.
- Convert planning requirements into actionable project scopes detailing schedule, budget, and technical specifications.
- Create and supervise project definition documents and conceptual layout designs.
- Support comprehensive airport planning that includes terminals, airside operations, general aviation, cargo, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and auxiliary facilities.
- Develop and review Airport Master Plans and Airport Layout Plans (ALPs).
- Utilize simulation, modeling, and analytical tools to detect capacity restrictions and enhance system performance.
- Coordinate effectively among clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members within the airside planning competence center.
- Initiate and assist business development efforts related to airport planning.
Candidate Requirements
- University degree in Aeronautics, Aviation Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in airport planning, encompassing project leadership roles.
- Strong analytical reasoning and conceptual design capabilities.
- Demonstrated skill in stakeholder engagement and project management.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in both German and English languages.
