Job description

Role overview

This leadership position is based in Miami and sits within Pernod Ricard USA, a global premium wine and spirits business known for brands such as ABSOLUT Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Malibu, Kahlúa, The Glenlivet, Beefeater, Malfy, and several American whiskey labels including Jefferson's, Rabbit Hole, TX, Smooth Ambler, and Skrewball. The role is focused on sales leadership across an assigned territory or channel, with strong emphasis on distributor partnership, growth execution, and commercial performance.

Pernod Ricard describes its culture through the idea of conviviality, meaning connection, authenticity, friendliness, and energy. The organization says it is guided by four values: being grounded in reality, staying authentic, embracing challenge, and staying connected across borders. It also highlights a commitment to inclusion, sustainability, safety, community giving, and internal mobility.

Compensation

The stated base salary range for Miami is USD 133,100 to USD 166,400 annually. The company notes that pay may differ outside this location and that final base salary is determined during interviews based on experience, skills, comparison with internal peers, and the responsibilities of the role.

What the job is responsible for

The Senior Manager is expected to help grow sales, expand market share, and improve execution across the assigned territory or channel. The position works closely with distributor teams and cross-functional partners to turn strategy into results, improve operational performance, and support financial goals. It is also a highly visible role that influences state-level planning, pricing execution, and overall business outcomes.

Core duties

  • Direct distributor partners and motivate them to carry out brand and portfolio plans that support top-line growth and market share.
  • Align distributor activity with business priorities across the full portfolio so execution stays consistent and goal-focused.
  • Act as the main contact for distributor relationships while coordinating with field marketing and other commercial stakeholders.
  • Use dashboards and performance tools to track results, surface opportunities, and support better decisions.
  • Own demand forecasting, pricing rollout, state-level financial results, profit and loss accountability, and budget oversight.
  • Support annual and long-range planning, including the Annual Operating Plan, by setting priorities, defining KPIs, and bringing market intelligence to the table.
  • Make sure customer-level pricing is executed correctly and manage marketing and commercial budgets within the territory or channel.
  • Work with internal teams and distributors to keep ordering, logistics, and distribution running smoothly.
  • Manage Market Managers by setting objectives and key results, giving regular feedback, and helping them grow professionally.
  • Build an inclusive, high-performing team culture centered on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Apply performance data and metrics to guide team decisions and maintain consistent results.

Ideal candidate profile

The company says this role will suit someone who enjoys collaboration, makes decisions based on data, likes coaching and developing people, and can think strategically while still handling day-to-day execution.

Experience and qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
  • 8 to 10+ years of relevant experience in sales leadership is required, ideally in wine & spirits or consumer goods.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal abilities are needed, along with the ability to work well across functions.
  • The candidate should be comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment, handling ambiguity, and overcoming obstacles with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% is required.
