Recently, we launched nationwide through Target and are rapidly growing across DTC, TikTok Shop, Amazon, and retail channels.
Role Overview
As the Senior Manager of People & Culture, you will spearhead the development and implementation of our people strategy. This role demands a strategic mindset combined with hands-on involvement throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, engagement, performance management, compliance, benefits, and retention. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to cultivate high-performing teams, promote a remarkable employee experience, and scale people practices aligned with business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive recruitment across all organizational roles, partnering with leaders to understand hiring and workforce needs.
- Create clear, engaging job descriptions reflecting business objectives.
- Implement sourcing strategies utilizing professional recruiting platforms.
- Manage candidate pipelines, interviews, and selection processes while coaching hiring managers on equitable hiring.
- Maintain recruitment metrics, hiring dashboards, headcount plans, and budgets in collaboration with finance.
- Oversee smooth onboarding processes from offer acceptance to full integration, ensuring all documentation is completed and employees are properly set up in HR systems, including payroll and benefits.
- Enhance onboarding procedures continuously to boost employee engagement and operational efficiency.
- Act as a trusted HR partner, providing coaching on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance concerns, and fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and transparency.
- Lead initiatives to engage employees, organize company events, and improve retention and satisfaction.
- Manage the annual performance review process, develop performance goals and career development plans in collaboration with managers.
- Develop professional development programs and mentorship opportunities to support employee advancement.
- Oversee benefits management, including annual reviews, renewals, open enrollment, and employee inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and maintain HR documentation, policies, and employee handbooks.
- Analyze HR data to guide strategic people decisions and refine HR systems and programs to support scaling needs.
- Work alongside executive leaders on organizational planning, change management, and talent strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7+ years progressive HR experience, including leadership in strategic HR generalist or people operations roles.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with senior leadership on organizational strategy.
- Skilled in full-cycle recruiting across various functions and seniority levels.
- Proficient in HRIS systems (preferably Gusto), payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee record management.
- Solid knowledge of employment law, compliance, benefits administration, COBRA, and retirement plans.
- Experienced in managing performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
- Excellent project management, organizational, analytical, communication, and coaching capabilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with utmost professionalism and discretion.
