Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Network Advisory leads complex projects and initiatives related to payment partnerships and compliance with card network regulations across the UK and EU. This role involves strategic oversight of network bulletins, compliance mandates, and relationship management with external stakeholders to enhance global processes and partnership success through collaboration across internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute tactical plans aligned with payment partnership strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with mid to senior-level contacts at partner organizations.
  • Negotiate agreements to meet strategic objectives that deliver mutual value.
  • Coordinate implementation of partnership activities with cross-functional groups including product, marketing, and legal.
  • Monitor and measure partnership effectiveness against business goals.
  • Seek collaborative opportunities to enhance products and expand market presence.
  • Proactively adapt to changes in industry regulations and competitive landscape.
  • Communicate partnership progress and outcomes to internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange between internal teams and partners to drive innovation.
  • Support the Director in formulating long-term strategies and preparing for executive review.
  • Lead oversight of network bulletins, rule changes, and compliance measures ensuring organizational adherence to card network requirements.
  • Manage the full cycle for interpreting and disseminating card network mandates across Europe.
  • Design and uphold a consistent network compliance framework incorporating governance, risk controls, and assessment.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Operations to assess network impacts and implement necessary actions efficiently.
  • Act as primary point of contact for network compliance issues, escalations, and interpretations.
  • Conduct impact analyses for network rule changes, ensuring clear documentation and role clarity.
  • Align network requirements with internal policies, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Track compliance metrics and emerging risks reporting to executive leadership.
  • Represent PayPal in relevant network discussions, forums, and audits as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience paired with a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Proven track record managing global partnerships in a complex, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
