Job Overview
The Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at United Arab Bank is responsible for leading the bank's corporate communications activities to safeguard and elevate its reputation. This role involves managing media relations, executive communications, corporate publications, crisis communications, and positioning aligned with the bank's strategic goals and brand values. Additionally, it oversees the execution of all corporate events.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a corporate communications strategy to boost brand awareness and reputation protection.
- Handle media relations, including press releases and external statements.
- Develop executive-level communications for the CEO and Chairman.
- Lead crisis communication efforts in collaboration with Compliance, Legal, and Executive Management.
- Manage production of the Annual Report, ESG Report, and other corporate publications.
- Maintain brand uniformity across all communications.
- Supervise PR agencies and other communications vendors.
- Oversee organization and communication for corporate events and sponsorships.
- Provide strategic communications counsel for special projects.
- Track and report on reputation and media engagement metrics.
- Manage the corporate communications budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation within financial constraints.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the corporate communications team to achieve high performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in Corporate Communications or Public Relations, ideally within banking or financial services sectors.
- Expertise in executive communications and managing external agencies is essential.
- Must be fluent in both Arabic and English languages.
