Key Responsibilities

- Oversee existing client accounts and prospect new investment opportunities to boost UK capital inflows.
- Collaborate seamlessly across the Australia and global networks, working with the Department for Business and Trade and diplomatic missions.
- Support export activity related to financial services by engaging markets and identifying opportunities.
- Provide high-quality, confidential briefings for senior government officials, including ministers and other stakeholders.
- Organize and host industry events to promote investment interest and maintain visibility within the sector.
- Stay informed on sector trends and offer insights feeding into broader UK government strategies for foreign direct investment.
- Adapt to flexible work environments and occasionally participate in early-evening calls with UK colleagues to manage time zone differences.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Self-motivated individual who thrives under pressure, using independent judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within team settings while maintaining accountability for assigned sector areas.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills capable of building trust with senior business and government leaders.
- Strong commercial awareness to recognize and maximize valuable investment opportunities.
- Proficient in producing detailed and clear written and verbal briefings.
- Ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Background in sales or account management, preferably with commercial exposure.
- Experience within the investment industry, particularly institutional capital, pensions, asset management, or fintech sectors.
- Competent in conducting research and comfortable working with business IT tools, including AI and CRM software applications.
