Overview

This full-time, permanent position is based in Gippsland and offered by a not-for-profit health care organisation committed to integrated healthcare delivery. The role supports individuals affected by gambling harm, focusing on facilitating access to therapeutic and financial counselling services while promoting associated programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promptly respond to inquiries from clients, providing accurate and current information.
  • Manage referrals from individuals and agencies for gambling support services.
  • Coordinate initial appointments and referral allocation to Therapeutic and Financial Counsellors effectively.
  • Deliver brief interventions and administer the waitlist system for gambling help services.
  • Oversee and maintain the calendar booking system for related appointments.
  • Develop and uphold processes, policies, and work instructions related to intake operations.
  • Collaborate with Community Engagement Workers to promote and increase awareness of counselling services to both internal and external audiences.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, supervision, and quality improvement projects pertinent to the role.
  • Achieve key performance indicators and productivity targets for service delivery.
  • Perform additional tasks aligned with the position’s scope as directed by management.

Candidate Profile

  • Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families impacted by gambling harm.
  • Experience and familiarity with health or community sector environments.
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Community Services or a comparable discipline.
  • Possess a valid Victorian Drivers Licence and Working with Children Check.
