Role overview
This is a senior finance leadership opportunity for a candidate based in the United States. The role supports a fast-growing, capital-intensive organization and focuses on strategic finance, operational discipline, and technology-enabled decision making. You will be responsible for core FP&A work, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis across complex global operations. In addition, you will turn financial information into practical insights that help leadership steer the business and allocate capital effectively.
The position requires close partnership with operational, technical, and executive teams to create structure in a changing environment. You will also contribute to building scalable finance systems, streamlined processes, and automation-first ways of working. This role is well suited to someone who can bring clarity to ambiguity, strengthen how finance supports the business, and continuously improve planning and reporting practices.
Accountabilities
- Take ownership of the full FP&A cycle, covering budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning across multiple business units and operational programs.
- Create and maintain financial models that inform business decisions, improve cost efficiency, and support smarter capital allocation.
- Prepare insightful reporting and dashboarding that converts complex financial results into clear guidance for senior leaders.
- Work with accounting and data teams to preserve data accuracy and establish a reliable single source of truth.
- Perform variance analysis, surface key cost drivers, and reinforce accountability within operational teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen financial discipline, performance monitoring, and strategic planning.
- Support process enhancement, automation, and AI-enabled workflows that help finance scale efficiently.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has strong FP&A leadership experience, advanced analytical capability, and a history of building scalable financial processes in complex environments.
- At least 8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a closely related function, ideally in capital-intensive or operationally complex industries.
- Prior experience leading or managing small teams in fast-paced, high-growth settings.
- Strong financial modeling skills, advanced Excel ability, and experience with ERP systems.
- Capability to turn operational complexity into organized financial analysis and executive-ready narratives.
- Background working across operations, engineering, and senior leadership teams in a cross-functional environment.
- Exposure to automation tools, finance systems, and AI-assisted FP&A workflows is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present effectively to senior leadership.
- SQL or Python knowledge is a plus, along with a strong process and systems-oriented approach.
Perks and benefits
- Remote-first setup with flexibility for candidates located anywhere in the United States.
- The chance to contribute to large-scale finance and operational systems with meaningful business impact.
- Exposure to advanced, data-driven finance transformation work, including AI-enabled initiatives.
- Close collaboration with senior leaders and technical cross-functional teams.
- Opportunity to help design and scale FP&A systems and processes in a growing company.
- Competitive compensation structure that may include base pay, bonus, and potential equity components depending on the overall setup.
- An inclusive, mission-driven culture centered on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
