About the Role
Tata Advanced Systems Limited seeks a Senior Manager specializing in Finance and Accounting, offering a pivotal leadership position within the organization. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with significant expertise in manufacturing industries such as aerospace, defence, automotive, heavy engineering, or capital goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure precise and prompt preparation of financial statements including Profit & Loss accounts and cash flow statements.
- Conduct thorough General Ledger reviews ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently without delays.
- Create and deliver Management Information System reports for plant and corporate leadership.
- Coordinate and support internal, statutory, and external audits, acting as liaison with auditors.
- Maintain compliance with Ind AS and IFRS accounting standards.
- Oversee the complete accounts payable and receivable processes including invoice processing, GRIR reconciliation, and vendor account management.
- Monitor vendor payments and receivables to ensure smooth operational cash flow and compliance with P2P and O2C procedures.
- Lead budgeting activities including Annual Operating Plan development, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial analysis for business cases, investments, and capital expenditure approvals.
- Ensure comprehensive adherence to all relevant tax regulations including GST, TDS, Income Tax, Customs, and related statutory requirements.
- Manage cash flow and treasury operations to optimize liquidity and fund utilization.
- Handle fixed asset accounting, including capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and physical asset verification.
- Implement and reinforce internal controls and Standard Operating Procedures to safeguard assets and financial data.
- Lead and nurture a finance team of five professionals, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- 8 to 10 years of post-qualification experience in Finance and Accounting.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience within manufacturing or industrial sectors, preferably aerospace, defence, automotive, heavy engineering or capital goods.
- Proven leadership experience managing finance teams.
Technical Proficiencies
- Strong command of ERP systems, preferably SAP FI/CO modules.
- Advanced expertise in MS Excel, MIS dashboard creation, and financial modeling techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and IFRS.
- Thorough understanding of Indian taxation laws including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Customs duties.
- Experience in GRIR reconciliation, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes.
- Competence in fixed asset accounting and capitalisation procedures.
