Senior Manager - Data Scientist

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Data Scientist to spearhead intricate data science initiatives, construct sophisticated machine learning models, and deliver actionable insights that substantially influence business outcomes. You will collaborate extensively with multidisciplinary teams such as product management, engineering, and business units to craft data-supported strategies and foster innovation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee data science projects from conceptualization through to deployment.
• Create and deploy machine learning and statistical models to address complex business challenges.
• Analyze extensive and multifaceted datasets to uncover insights that aid strategic decision-making.
• Work alongside engineering teams to implement models in live production environments.
• Translate business objectives into data science questions and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders without technical backgrounds.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior data scientists by reviewing work and sharing best practices.
• Continuously assess and enhance model accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Keep current with the latest advancements and trends in data science and artificial intelligence.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of five years’ experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics.
• Advanced expertise in Python or R, leveraging libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience managing large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
• Hands-on experience deploying machine learning models in production, utilizing platforms like AWS or GCP, containerization tools such as Docker, and ML lifecycle tools including MLflow.
• Comprehensive understanding of statistical methods, including hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and time series analysis.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to convey complex data insights effectively.
• Demonstrated capability to juggle multiple projects and engage with diverse stakeholders successfully.
