Internship Overview
The Product & Data Science Intern will engage in supervised projects that include data analysis, model building, AI applications, product development, and automating workflows. The internship offers hands-on exposure to private lending and real estate finance, covering topics such as property valuation, underwriting, loan structuring, transaction processes, and market assessments. Prior experience in real estate or lending is not required. Candidates with interests in finance, real estate, data science, machine learning, AI product development, or tech-driven business roles are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Analyze diverse data related to properties, markets, lending, and operations.
- Create, test, and refine analytical, financial, statistical, or machine learning models.
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of internal product development including defining problems, setting requirements, testing, and implementation.
- Translate business and lending workflows into product features, data structures, and system logic.
- Support property valuation, market analysis, underwriting, and case studies in private lending.
- Develop dashboards, tracking tools, analytic instruments, and standardized reporting processes.
- Research and experiment with AI tools for document extraction, classification, financial analysis, property research, and workflow automation.
- Assess the accuracy, reliability, and limitations of model and AI outcomes for business relevance.
- Identify and report on data quality, product function, workflow, and usability challenges.
- Document methods, requirements, test results, and offer recommendations.
- Present insights through written reports, models, prototypes, dashboards, or oral presentations.
Candidate Profile
Applicants may be undergraduates, graduates, or recent graduates from disciplines such as computer science, data science, statistics, applied mathematics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, finance, economics, real estate, business analytics, engineering, consulting, or similar analytical fields. No prior professional experience is mandatory.
Ideal candidates will exhibit genuine enthusiasm for finance, real estate, data science, machine learning, and AI product development. They will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, curiosity to learn unfamiliar concepts, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, independent work ethic balanced with appropriate consultation, clear communication skills, openness to testing and revising work based on feedback, and professional handling of sensitive company and transaction data.
Educational Credit and Compensation
This is a full-time, onsite internship lasting between 8 to 12 weeks, Monday through Friday, 40 hours weekly. The internship is unpaid but may offer academic credit depending on the student’s educational institution requirements.

Interns will not have decision-making authority on loans nor undertake legal, financial advisory, or final credit responsibilities.
Outstanding interns might be considered for future internships or full-time roles contingent on performance and business requirements. Eligible full-time offers may include visa sponsorship options.
