Senior Manager, Cyber Security – IT & OT Systems

Role overview

This senior leadership role is responsible for directing cyber security activities across both information technology and operational technology landscapes at a major airport environment. The position focuses on safeguarding critical systems, shaping security architecture, and ensuring that protection measures support wider business and operational goals.

What you will do

• Lead cyber security operations across complex IT and OT environments, including airport infrastructure, building management systems, and cargo-related operations.
• Manage the security operations center and guide incident handling, digital forensics, threat intelligence, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and red team exercises.
• Develop and roll out security architecture and technical safeguards for cloud platforms, networks, endpoints, and OT assets.
• Perform application security evaluations, assess risk, and define remediation plans that strengthen data protection and compliance.
• Work closely with teams across IT, operations, HR, and projects to align security priorities with business needs and operational realities.
• Provide advisory support on cyber security improvement initiatives, with a particular focus on OT environments.

Core experience and capabilities

• Background managing large-scale IT and OT environments in aviation, logistics, or industrial settings.
• Hands-on leadership in SOC operations, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and red teaming.
• Strong capability in designing and implementing controls for cloud, network, endpoint, and OT systems.
• Experience with application security review, risk reduction planning, and data protection measures.
• Ability to connect cyber security programs to business strategy and operational requirements.
• Comfort working with cross-functional stakeholders and contributing to security enhancement projects in OT environments.

Role requirements

• At least 10 years of cyber security experience, including work across both IT and OT environments.
• Proven leadership experience in SOC and wider cyber security operations.
• Deep technical knowledge of security architecture and technical control frameworks.
• Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to aviation, logistics, or other large industrial sectors is preferred.
