Senior Manager - Business Finance (Commercial)

Role Overview

As the Senior Manager for Business Finance focusing on Commercial activities at Snoonu in Lusail, Qatar, you will act as the essential finance partner to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Your role will involve integrating financial performance across various commercial verticals into a cohesive strategy, balancing growth and margin considerations, and enhancing the commercial finance function embedded throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the CCO with financial insights relating to pricing, partnerships, and strategic commercial decisions that impact business outcomes.
• Manage the consolidated commercial profit-and-loss (P&L) statements, converting vertical-level data into a unified company-wide narrative for leadership.
• Establish and lead the Commercial Business Finance team, ensuring every vertical General Manager has a reliable finance partner contributing to decision-making.
• Develop the operational framework for commercial finance, including business review schedules, performance scorecards, ROI evaluation methods, investment governance, and a unified data source for commercial metrics.
• Oversee financial structures that influence key commercial levers such as commission schemes, take-rate policies, promotional and incentive budgeting, strategic partnerships, and co-investment in marketing.
• Facilitate decision-making processes that weigh growth against profitability by providing clear recommendations and critically analyzing commercial assumptions.
• Translate commercial plans into measurable targets, budgets, and forecasts while collaborating with Finance, Strategy, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to highlight risks and opportunities proactively.

Required Expertise

• Demonstrated history working closely with senior commercial executives, acting as a trusted financial consultant to C-level leaders like Chief Commercial Officers or General Managers.
• Experience creating and guiding Commercial or Business Finance teams and nurturing finance professionals into strategic business partners valued by commercial leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of marketplace economics including revenue frameworks, contribution margins, pricing strategies, promotional tactics, customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value analysis.
• Excellent executive communication skills capable of simplifying complex financial concepts into concise, influential narratives for leadership audiences.
• Constructive yet assertive approach, presenting data-supported viewpoints while fostering strong cross-departmental collaboration.
• Innovative mindset focused on designing scalable financial procedures and enhancing organizational capabilities in fast-moving, high-growth settings.

Additional Qualifications (Advantageous)

• More than eight years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance, or Business Finance, ideally within sectors such as food delivery, quick-commerce, marketplaces, e-commerce, or technology-driven consumer businesses.
• Solid understanding of restaurant economics, pricing and promotional mechanisms, and customer incentive models, recognizing value creation and margin leakage points.
• Practical familiarity with enterprise financial planning systems (e.g., IBM Planning Analytics/TM1) and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau); proficiency in SQL is a plus.
