Job description

Role Overview

Airbus Defence and Space Saudi Arabia is hiring a Senior Key Account Manager to support its work in innovative space and defence solutions and services. The role is based in Riyadh and sits within a customer-facing sales environment focused on growing the business, strengthening market presence, and improving win rates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the region’s order intake targets in line with operational planning.
  • Own the sales and pre-sales effort for selected major campaigns in the Kingdom.
  • Work with the Head of Sales to refine and align the sales approach.
  • Keep the pipeline healthy and provide reliable forecasts for orders and revenue by filtering and assessing information carefully.
  • Track competitor activity and share market intelligence quickly with the Airbus Public Safety and Security marketing and product strategy teams.
  • Support customer satisfaction and long-term relationship management.
  • Help finance secure complete and timely customer payments when needed.
  • Operate in line with PSS ethics and compliance requirements.
  • Build strong working links across PSS teams and coordinate activities through peer relationships and virtual sales teams.
  • Define sales strategy and the capture plan for assigned campaigns.
  • Coordinate commercial actions and manage the offer submission prepared by the bid team.
  • Ensure the commercial proposal follows internal PSS rules and delivers the strongest possible offer.
  • Lead customer negotiations through to closure.
  • Support business growth by encouraging new business models and product innovation.
  • Strengthen commercial positioning by supporting strategic partnerships.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the customer environment and identify needs for PSS products, services, and solutions.
  • Respond to customer requirements with suitable Airbus PSS offerings.
  • Work with the Head of Sales on business planning and sales forecasts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s degree in Management, Telecom, or a related field is required.
  • More than 10 years of experience in wireless communications sales within government organisations in the Kingdom, particularly in communications and information systems.
  • Experience handling large and complex campaigns.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Capability to juggle multiple priorities, make critical decisions, and work through uncertainty and stress.
  • Negotiation ability in both English and Arabic.
  • Saudi nationals are preferred.
  • The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
