Role overview
This position is for a Senior IT Service Desk Engineer supporting a product-based multinational organization in Hyderabad. The role focuses on resolving end-user technology issues across desktop and collaboration environments, with a strong emphasis on first-response support, ticket handling, and advanced troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities
- Handle technical support requests submitted by phone, email, and chat, and work toward timely issue resolution.
- Use ServiceNow for logging, tracking, and managing support tickets.
- Diagnose and resolve problems affecting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and Cisco phones.
- Support Active Directory, networking, messaging, and hardware-related troubleshooting tasks.
- Provide advanced support for Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and Microsoft 365.
- Investigate and fix issues related to VPN access, RSA SecurID, and corporate applications on mobile devices through MDM tools.
- Troubleshoot voice and conferencing tools such as Cisco phones, IP phones, Jabber, and Zoom.
- Apply knowledge of virtual machines hosted on ESX servers to configure and resolve related issues.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant should bring hands-on service desk experience, strong problem-solving ability, and a solid understanding of enterprise IT environments. Experience in supporting common workplace devices and business applications is essential.
