Role Overview
We seek a seasoned senior investment professional to provide expert investment judgment throughout the project, directing the analytical methodology of the team and guaranteeing that all investment recommendations align with the rigorous standards typical of institutional investment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert investment insights spanning both public securities and private company assessments.
- Develop and implement the investment framework and analytical methods adopted by the wider project team.
- Critically evaluate valuations, portfolio analyses, asset allocation advice, and investment policy matters.
- Identify and challenge underlying assumptions, assess significant risks, and ensure conclusions are underpinned by solid quantitative and qualitative data.
- Lead the formation of investment recommendations ensuring they are commercially viable and ready for execution.
- Review and deliver detailed feedback on colleagues' financial models, investment analyses, and presentation content.
- Communicate investment findings effectively and authoritatively with senior-level stakeholders.
- Adapt swiftly to feedback by iterating on analyses and recommendations as required.
Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Between approximately 12 and 15+ years of professional investment experience.
- Held senior investment positions within entities such as Multi-Family Offices, Private Equity firms, Hedge Funds, investment offices, investment banks, or similarly complex institutional platforms.
- Experience in top leadership roles such as Chief Investment Officer, Managing Director, Investment Director, Head of Investments, or Senior Portfolio Manager.
- Comprehensive knowledge of investment strategies covering both public markets and private company investing.
- Proven background evaluating diversified portfolios spanning various asset classes and industrial sectors.
- Expertise in portfolio construction, investment analysis, valuation, asset allocation, and risk management.
- Multi-Family Office experience is advantageous but not mandatory; strong backgrounds in private equity, hedge funds, or investment banking are also suitable.
- Exceptional written communication capabilities, adept at simplifying complex investment judgments for clarity.
- Detail-focused and commercially insightful, comfortable with rigorous review and challenge of investment decisions.
- Experience with AI evaluations, human-data projects, or structured investment assessments is considered a valuable addition.
