Job description

Role overview

We are hiring on behalf of a long-standing single-family office in the UAE for a Senior Investment Associate to join its investment team. The mandate is broad and multi-asset, covering listed markets, private equity, real assets and related strategies.

Why this opportunity stands out

  • The platform is backed by permanent family capital and is intended for the long term, rather than operating as a fund.
  • The family office has been established for more than six decades within one of the Emirates' founding business groups.
  • Its approach is conservative, with modest leverage, solid liquidity and a strong focus on protecting capital.
  • It has access to distinctive, and often proprietary, deal opportunities through close relationships with government and institutional counterparts.
  • The team is intentionally lean and senior, giving the role direct exposure to key decision-makers.

What you will do

In this position, you will support the investment team in evaluating, tracking and managing a diversified portfolio across multiple asset classes. The work brings together investment analysis, portfolio oversight and operational due diligence, while also contributing to manager selection, allocation decisions and governance processes.

  • Carry out due diligence and develop financial models across public equities, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, credit and real assets.
  • Draft investment memoranda, committee presentations, quarterly updates and portfolio dashboards.
  • Track current holdings and maintain contact with fund managers and company leaders.
  • Assist with fund operations, legal and compliance matters, and relationships with external managers.

Candidate profile

  • Three to five years of experience in investment management, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or within a family office or endowment.
  • A degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting is preferred; CFA, CAIA or CA qualifications are considered an advantage.
  • Strong financial modelling capability, including LBO analysis, along with exposure to real estate investing.
  • Proven experience in fund manager due diligence and selection.
  • Someone who is discreet, detail-focused and comfortable working in a small, high-performing team.
