Role Overview

The Senior Interior Designer position is a full-time onsite role located in Dubai, UAE. The incumbent leads projects through all design phases, from ideation and mood board creation to detailed drawings and material specifications. Responsibilities include space planning, aligning architectural and construction documents, selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), and ensuring design outcomes adhere to client expectations, budgets, and schedules. The role demands close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and suppliers, site supervision, fit-out oversight, maintaining high design standards, mentoring junior designers, client presentations, and keeping abreast of market trends, materials, and technologies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in interior design and space planning, capable of crafting both functional and visually appealing layouts for residential and commercial projects.
• Proficient in architectural and construction drawings, with the ability to create, review, and coordinate technical documents alongside engineering and onsite teams.
• Extensive knowledge of FF&E processes, including sourcing, specifications, and coordination aligned with project budgets and quality requirements.
• Relevant academic credentials such as a bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline, coupled with substantial experience in senior or lead design roles.
• Skilled in professional design and visualization software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and 3D visualization tools, along with strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Proven capacity to oversee multiple projects, collaborate effectively across teams, and ensure quality control during site execution.
• Experience within the UAE or GCC construction context and familiarity with regional building codes, materials, and suppliers is a plus.
