Job purpose

This role focuses on delivering practical infrastructure and network engineering solutions for ISA and its clients. The position also includes hands-on support for technical issues and problem resolution across network environments, including data center and cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the wider team in shaping a global enterprise network and cloud roadmap that aligns with business needs and supports ISA’s performance and growth goals.
  • Help build automated, resilient network connectivity for on-premises virtualization, public cloud environments, and remote edge setups across different IT landscapes.
  • Carry out troubleshooting across multiple environments and review network capacity, utilization, and configuration changes on a daily basis.
  • Deploy network services for cloud-based and on-premises data centers, managing routers, switches, wireless, voice, video, and security technologies.
  • Assess hybrid cloud connectivity and infrastructure, then take appropriate action to prevent performance issues and service disruptions.
  • Create and maintain operational policies and procedures for platform management, with a focus on stable provisioning, high uptime, and compliance requirements.
  • Build productive working relationships with internal teams and outside partners to support smooth operations, policy compliance, and timely SLA delivery.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for internal IT teams and external vendors in areas such as network analysis, architecture, design, and engineering.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with ISA clients to help deliver a strong customer experience.
  • Track network-related operating costs, including component usage, licenses, and agreements.
  • Ensure network enhancements are deployed effectively and monitored to improve operational efficiency.
  • Apply industry best practices when designing global enterprise networks and stay current through regular technology benchmarking.
  • Join major incident handling, SWAT calls, and other technical conference calls that support IT operations.
  • Recommend, implement, and report corrective actions that improve service levels.
  • Take on other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications and experience

A bachelor’s degree in IT Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology is required. Professional ITIL certification is expected, and certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, MCSE, or RHEL are also relevant. The role requires fluency in English.

Candidates should bring 5 or more years of experience in enterprise IT environments, ideally in 24x7 critical operations, with direct responsibility for network engineering, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of complex network setups. The background should include broad exposure to diverse technology stacks, route/switch or equivalent experience, and operations management for both internally hosted and externally hosted platforms. Experience in technical leadership, solution design, and architecture is important, along with the ability to analyze data, spot issues, and recommend cost-effective options. A cost-conscious mindset, sound problem-solving, and strong decision-making skills are essential. Advanced knowledge of Cisco LAN/WAN switching and experience managing private and public cloud resources are also required. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, performs well under pressure, and uses both technical expertise and interpersonal skills to help achieve business objectives and KPIs.
