Job description

Role overview

This position is responsible for steering product work by ordering priorities, approving deliverables, and making sure the team focuses on the most valuable product outcomes. The role also involves shaping product ideas, defining requirements and specifications, and helping ensure the product behaves as intended.

The Product Manager works closely with UX specialists to shape solutions that are practical, engaging, and aligned with user needs. A key part of the role is to ensure the right features are delivered at the right time while helping the development team stay effective and productive.

Key responsibilities

  • Own delivery success by managing the full product backlog and day-to-day delivery flow, including backlog grooming and timely responses to development team questions.
  • Make sure user stories are fully prepared before sprint start, with clear acceptance criteria and alignment to the definition of ready.
  • Work with the Product Manager to organize and rank backlog items so they reflect the product direction and customer requirements.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the development team to keep value flowing continuously.
  • Review UI/visual designs created by the UX team.
  • Review QA test cases and provide feedback before execution.
  • Track market movements and emerging technologies, and study competitors to identify useful practices and improvements.
  • Observe team performance and escalate any concerns about delivery or performance to the Product Managers.
  • Represent ISA in client meetings and gather feedback on products and services on an ongoing basis.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Product Manager or Senior Product Manager.
  • Step in as Product Manager 2 when that role is unavailable.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Technical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent field. A Certified Scrum Master or Professional Certified Product Owner credential is preferred but not required.

The role calls for a strong technical foundation and a clear understanding of software development. Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Slack and JIRA is important, and fluency in English is required.

Professional experience of at least 4 years is needed in roles such as business analyst, QA, product owner, UX designer, or architect. Experience in the aviation domain is highly desirable. Candidates should also have hands-on experience writing user stories and business requirements, working in Scrum environments, and delivering work on time.

A solid grasp of UI/UX principles and software testing is expected, including the ability to review and approve test cases.
