Senior Infrastructure Administrator

Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Administrator for a client based in Sharjah. The role involves managing and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure to guarantee optimal availability, performance, and security of systems and networks.

Primary Duties

• Manage servers, networks, storage solutions, and cloud-based platforms.
• Continuously monitor system performance and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Execute upgrades and patch installations for infrastructure components.
• Oversee backup procedures and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Ensure adherence to IT policies and maintain security compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure setups and operational procedures.
• Provide support for IT projects and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives.

Self-Management Expectations

• Establish annual performance objectives in coordination with the reporting manager.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in infrastructure-related technologies.

Educational and Professional Credentials

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Preferred certifications include CCNA (Networking), MCSA (Systems), Azure or AWS (Cloud), and security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC.

Experience

Require between 5 to 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration environments.

Skills and Language Requirements

• Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, analytical problem solving.
• Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Internal collaboration with IT teams, business units, and senior management.
• Liaison with external service providers and vendors.
